Having won numerous prestigious awards, we are the creative force behind short films for world-renowned brands such as Call of Duty, Netflix’s Love, Death & Robots, and Amazon’s Secret Level series.
Building on this heritage, we are now expanding our feature animation division (Digic Animation), currently developing high-profile projects such as the animated film series based on

3D Environment Generalist - Stylized - Mid level
Responsibilities
The RoleAs a Mid-level Environment Generalist, you are a versatile world-builder. You have a solid grasp of the entire environment pipeline, allowing you to create high-quality 3D sets that range from organic landscapes to complex architectural structures. You work semi-autonomously to take 2D concept art through to production-ready 3D environments, ensuring that every scene is aesthetically pleasing, technically sound, and perfectly optimized for the animation and lighting departments.
Key Responsibilities

Environment Production: Execute high-quality 3D layout, scene assembly, and both organic and hard-surface modeling based on concept art and unit standards.

Rough Layout (RLO): Contribute to the creation and publication of "Rough Layout Environments," providing the necessary 3D context for Previs and Animation teams.

Aesthetic interpretation: Translate painterly 2D concept art into 3D space, maintaining the production's specific stylized appeal throughout the modeling and surfacing process.

Scene Optimization: Follow established technical standards for asset caching and scene organization to ensure environments remain efficient for rendering and memory budgets.

Workflow Participation: Utilize production tracking tools (Shotgrid) and internal documentation to manage tasks, versions, and feedback loops effectively.

Collaboration: Proactively communicate with the Lead and Senior artists to ensure technical alignment and visual consistency across all environment assets.
Essential Skills

Solid Generalist Foundation: Professional experience in 3D layout, scene assembly, and both organic and hard-surface modeling.

Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of industry-standard tools like Maya or Houdini, and experience with texturing/surfacing workflows.

Technical Literacy: A clear understanding of topology, UV layouts, and scene optimization for high-end animation pipelines.

Style Adaptability: The ability to work within a defined stylized aesthetic while maintaining high-end production quality.
