On behalf of our client, a well-established and continuously growing international company operating in the chemical industry, we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to take a leading role in managing and expanding local customer portfolio in Hungary within the cosmetics, household chemicals, and pharmaceutical sectors. This senior position is ideal for a strategic, results-driven professional who combines strong commercial insight with hands-on customer engagement.

Manage and further develop an existing customer portfolio, including regular nationwide visits to strategic and potential partners

Ensure the achievement of planned partner visit targets and performance objectives defined in the business plan

Identify, evaluate, and acquire new business opportunities; monitor market trends and provide strategic recommendations for entering new market segments

Act as a trusted advisor to customers by providing detailed technical and commercial information on products and product families

Coordinate and support sample production, trial manufacturing processes, and ensure compliance with all related documentation requirements

Prepare pricing proposals and delivery contracts; maintain accurate and transparent records of all offers in the SAP system

Take an active role in handling customer complaints, working closely with Quality Assurance and Customer Service teams to ensure timely resolution

Maintain and continuously update business partner master data in SAP and CRM systems

Prepare high-level summary reports and analyses for monthly sales and management meetings
Elvárások

Relevant higher education degree (preferably in chemical engineering, chemistry, bioengineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field)

8–10 years of proven consultative sales experience in a comparable field, with deep knowledge of chemical substances and strong, hands-on market expertise

Active, business-fluent command of Hungarian and English, both written and spoken

Willingness to travel nationwide on a regular basis, with occasional international travel to industry trade fairs and conferences

Clean driving license, category “B”

Strong ability to work independently with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset

Customer-focused attitude with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
