We are looking for a Buyer to join our partner company’s team in Budapest's northern agglomeration, supporting procurement operations while also contributing to logistics coordination. The role focuses on ensuring material availability, managing supplier relationships, and supporting production and service requirements.
The position works closely with planning, production, and engineering teams, while also being involved in inbound and outbound logistics activities.
Coordinate inbound logistics, including shipment tracking and customs-related processes
Identify and report critical shortages and supply risks impacting operations
Work closely with planning, production, and engineering teams on material needs
Monitor supplier performance and initiate improvement actions where required
Maintain and update procurement-related data in ERP systems
Support cost optimization initiatives and identify alternative sourcing options
Track open orders and resolve delays, shortages, and discrepancies
Maintain regular communication with suppliers to ensure delivery accuracy
Manage procurement activities from sourcing to order completion
Ensure material availability for production and spare parts demand
Provide support for outbound logistics when needed
Ensure proper documentation in line with internal procedures
At least 3 years of procurement experience in a production environment, ideally assembly.
Solid logistics experience, including international shipments and customs.
Proficiency in ERP systems for procurement.
Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
Fluent in English and Hungarian.
Able to work under pressure and adapt.
Strong analytical, planning, and organizational abilities.
Experience or knowledge in metalworking processes and the ability to read technical blueprints.
