Our client European Institute Of Innovation and Technology (EIT) looks for a new colleague as
Communication Officer
for 6 months (with possibility of extension)
Salary: from 3.500 - 5.000 EUR gross (all salary payments are converted into HUF)
Place of work: Budapest
Purpose:
Provide support in the fields indicated under “Tasks” and provide daily support as Communication officer
Communication campaigns: support the implementation of major communication campaigns, including flagship events (e.g. Education & Skills Days, EIT Awards, Water launch);
In-house support: provide administrative, logistical and coordination support to the Communication Section, including liaising with the Publications Office on graphic and publication deliverables; supporting the planning and organisation of EIT meetings and events.
Internal coordination and EC visibility: strengthen the visibility of EIT communication activities within the European Commission, including Horizon Results Platform - related communications, and monitor and identify communication opportunities within the Commission.
Content development: draft news items and updates for the EIT website and social media channels; design visual materials for website and social media, presentations, and other communication assets.
Ensure daily press and communications opportunity monitoring and archiving of press articles, interviews and media monitoring or relevant information
Professional experience:
Minimum of three years' relevant experience in the field, or four years of experience if the completed university studies were shorter than four years;
Ability to demonstrate experience of above tasks through different professional experience;
A minimum of 3 years of full-time work experience in communications, or related discipline.
Qualification:
A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma.
Language skills:
Excellent command of the English language (at least C1 Level based on the Common Framework of Reference Languages).
IT Skills:
Computer literacy and in particular excellent use of MS Office applications, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Working hours:
40 hours/week with a lunch break of at least 20 minutes (normal lunch break is held at any time between 12:00 to 14:40)
Competitive salary: 3,700–5,400 EUR gross/month (paid in HUF at a pre-agreed fixed exchange rate), based on relevant experience

Training opportunities
Fixed-term contract until 31 December 2026, with the possibility of a 6-month extension
