How will you make an impact?
You will use the latest data management technologies to improve health and education services for citizens in a number of low- and middle-income countries, including the DRC, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Mozambique, Somalia, Chad, and others.
Task List
1.Expenses
a.Gather all relevant expense data, update project finance dashboards and save the supporting documents to the planned invoice’s folders.
b.Split routine central expenses by project for invoicing e.g. Tableau
2.Project Placements Updates
a.Update the placements in Salesforce based on the information received from PDs and PMs on a monthly basis.
3.Invoicing
a.Create the list of planned invoices in the beginning of each month
b.Based on the monthly planned invoices list send a monthly invoicing schedule to PDs/PMs (including the planned expense, fee invoices, due deliverables)
c.Send a reminder to PDs to review the monthly project placements before the check-in call
d.Create draft invoices on google sheets for PD and PF Team review
e.After the monthly invoicing run validate the amounts per invoice the outgoing invoices sheet and mark any discrepancies
4.Reconciliation
a.Recording payments against invoices and update Salesforce and Project Finance dashboards
5.Admin
a.Support the project finance team in opening and closing projects on Salesforce
We are looking for:
- Minimum of 20 hours per week, but ideally between 30 and 40 hours per week
- Remote work; approximately one office visit per week; we provide the equipment (laptop) needed for remote access
- Duration: approximately 3–6 months, through the end of the year at the latest
- We are looking for candidates with a general degree in finance or currently pursuing such a degree (at either a university or a college); specialization is not important
- Knowledge of MS Office/Google Workspace is required, especially practical experience using Excel/spreadsheets
- Fluent English skills, both written and spoken, that are practical and applicable in the workplace
- Good communication skills
- And, preferably, some actual work experience from another company, even if only for a few months
