In this role you will act as a key finance expert with real ownership over statutory accounting, IFRS reporting and tax coordination. You will work independently, supporting SPS Germany, while also being closely connected to the international SPS Group, with direct exposure to auditors, tax advisors and group stakeholders.
Tasks:
Preparation of financial statements (monthly and year end) in accordance with IFRS and german local GAAP
Oversees the general ledger, journal entries, and month-end close processes including account reconciliations. Manages fixed asset ledger including capitalization, depreciation, and asset lifecycle accounting. Handles tax accounting, deferred taxes, and compliance with tax reporting standards.
Preparation of the monthly group-wide reconciliation and provision of all relevant information for group reporting, including IC reconciliation and analyses
Preparation of liquidity planning
Point of contact for auditors, tax advisers and tax inspectors
Active collaboration and support in the implementation of finance-related projects
International point of contact within the SPS Group
Secondary- or university level qualification in finance, economics or a related field, chartered accountant qualification is an advantage
3-5 years professional experience in financial accounting
Solid knowledge of Excel
In-depth knowledge of IFRS. Knowledge of local Gaap (Germany) is an advantage
Knowledge of SAP R/3 or S/4 HANA is an advantage
Experience of working within a group of companies
The role requires fluent German as the primary working language; knowledge of English is considered an advantage
