Global Category Manager
Join a leading international manufacturing organization and take ownership of a global procurement category within a dynamic, multinational environment. We are looking for an experienced procurement or sales professional with a strategic mindset and strong stakeholder management skills to support global sourcing activities and supplier relationships across international operations.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensure continuity of supply and proactively manage escalation situations to prevent production disruptions.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives and identify opportunities for sustainable savings within your category portfolio.
- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, including daily communication and long-term partnership management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and provide professional coordination across international teams.
- Lead cross-functional task forces and support critical business initiatives.
- Monitor market developments, identify risks and opportunities, and contribute to category strategies and supplier portfolio management.
- Support the continuous improvement of procurement processes and best practices.
- Travel regularly within Europe and occasionally internationally.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic procurement, category management, or a related B2B sales environment.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt quickly to changing market conditions.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the electronics, manufacturing, automotive, or industrial sector.
- Background in category management and supplier markets.
- German language skills are considered an advantage.
- Experience working in an international matrix organization.
