The is responsible for leading the company’s overall IT strategy, operations, and development. This role is critical to supporting the company’s growth by establishing a stable, secure, and scalable IT environment tailored to complex engineering, manufacturing, and space industry operations.
Head of IT
Key responsibilities
1. IT Strategy and operations
- Define and execute a multi-year IT roadmap aligned with business objectives and growth
- Oversee end-to-end IT operations (infrastructure, applications, service desk, security)
- Establish reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient IT services and service levels
2. Enterprise systems and integration
- Lead implementation of ERP, CRM, PLM, and manufacturing systems
- Ensure integration across systems and establish a “single source of truth”
- Support digitalization of core business and operational processes
3. IT Organization and scaling
- Build, shape and scale the IT function from 3-4 FTE to ~8-10 FTE
- Define roles, responsibilities, and operating model
- Develop a high-performing, accountable IT team
4. Multi-site IT Consolidation
- Align and standardize IT operations across HQ and factory
- Harmonize networks, access management, devices, and systems
- Ensure stable and secure cross-site connectivity and operations
5. Cybersecurity and compliance
- Establish and operate a robust cybersecurity framework
- Ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory expectations
- Oversee risk management, monitoring, and incident response
6. IT Vendor and financial management
- Manage IT vendors, contracts, and service providers
- Own IT budgeting, planning, and cost optimization
- Ensure value-for-money and performance of external partners
Requirements
- BSc in IT / Computer Science (MSc preferred) or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of IT experience, including leadership roles
- Proven experience in building or scaling IT teams and functions
- Experience with complex system implementations (ERP/CRM/PLM)
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, architecture, and cybersecurity
- Experience in multi-site and/or manufacturing environments
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
- Strong ownership and decision-making capability
Considered a Plus
- Experience in aerospace, high-tech, or regulated industries
- Familiarity with ISO 27001 / NIST-based security practices
- Experience with IT transformation or consolidation programs
- Knowledge of manufacturing or engineering IT environments (OT/IoT exposure)
