We are looking for an Indirect Tax Analyst to join our team in Budapest. The role focuses on ensuring accurate and timely VAT reporting, supporting end-to-end VAT processes, reconciliations, and compliance across multiple countries. You will work closely with internal teams to maintain high-quality accounting analysis and support continuous process improvements in a fast-paced, international environment.
Execute VAT return processes in line with guidelines, including data collection, validation, processing, preparation, submission, and verification of VAT returns, as well as related payments and monthly journal entries
Perform balance sheet and VAT-related reconciliations, including monthly commentary analysis
Complete additional reconciliations (VAT to balance sheet, revenue, statutory VAT)
Collaborate with Indirect Tax Analysts and Support Analysts within the team
Support tax audits, queries, and local tax teams with CoE input
Assist Team Leads and Management with ad-hoc tasks and projects
Identify and communicate process errors, risks, and improvement opportunities
Perform other duties as required in line with the role and supervisor’s instructions
Active full-time student status
Availability to work 30 hours per week
Applied accounting knowledge
Strong MS Excel skills
Good written and spoken English
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across functions
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
VAT knowledge an advantage, but not essential
Gross salary: HUF 2,500/hour
