Your new role
As a Manager of Transportation Planning and Management, you will be responsible for overseeing transportation operations and leading planning activities while managing and developing a team of logistics professionals. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient daily operations, optimising transportation networks, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a team of logistics planners and specialists to ensure the successful planning and execution of daily operations across two customer sites
- Optimising daily goods flows and ensuring effective exception management to meet customer expectations
- Maintaining regular communication with customers regarding operational performance and status
- Monitoring and managing logistics performance indicators and transportation costs
- Analysing network metrics and driving continuous improvement initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you combine leadership skills with solid transportation management expertise. You bring:
- A university degree along with professional experience and strong knowledge of road freight transportation management
- More than 2 years of experience in supervising, leading, and developing teams
- A results-driven mindset with strong customer orientation
- High adaptability to changing environments and peak operation periods, supported by a structured approach to problem-solving
- Strong communication skills in English
- Advanced user knowledge of enterprise IT systems
