Our client is a software engineering and IT consulting provider that specializes in online casino and sportsbook solutions. They are currently looking for a Java Developer to join their team in Budapest.

Elvárások / Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in relevant production environments. 
• Deep expertise in OOP, Java, and SQL, coupled with an understanding of distributed systems. 
• Familiarity with Java, Spring boot, MySQL (or any relational database), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD. 
• Comfortable working independently and owning features from concept to release. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle technical challenges with minimal guidance. 
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to collaborate well with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders. 
• Proficient in English (written and spoken). 
• Proactive and self-driven.

Nice to have:

• Expertise in the casino domain or experience with playing in casinos.
• Experience with high-load applications.
• Familiarity with Redis, Claude Code/Cursor.
• Familiarity with performance optimization and tuning.

• Collaborate closely with product owners, stakeholders, and developers.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues independently. 
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers. 
• Occasionally step in to lead the team when necessary. 
• Maintain and continuously improve the scalability and high availability of the system to support growing load. 
• Work with third-party game providers and integrate their games into the aggregation platform.
