As a Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across a range of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) domains. Your primary focus will be on prospecting, lead generation, and building strong relationships with potential clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting new people, is confident in outbound sales activities, and is willing to go the extra mile to achieve and exceed sales targets.

Tasks

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Proactively identify and target potential clients through market research, networking, outreach campaigns, and cold calling. Build, manage, and maintain a strong and healthy sales pipeline.
  • Travel: Moderate travel is an essential part of this role. Visit prospective clients, attend industry events, and conduct in-person meetings to build relationships and support business development efforts.
  • Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations, clearly communicating the value and benefits of our solutions to potential customers.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate commercial terms and conditions effectively to secure new business agreements. Close opportunities efficiently while meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and act as a trusted advisor in understanding and supporting their business needs.
  • Market Insights: Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activities, customer expectations, and market developments in order to provide valuable feedback and contribute to the continuous improvement of sales and marketing strategies.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product, project, and technical colleagues, to ensure customer needs are understood and properly addressed throughout the sales cycle.
  • Sales Reporting and Tools Usage: Use a mix of sales tools, CRM systems, and outreach techniques to track activities, manage opportunities, and maintain accurate sales records.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in a hunter-type sales role, with a strong ability to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Significant experience in consultative sales within Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) domains, especially in selling AI-driven software solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Comfortable adapting to changing schedules, priorities, and business environments
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively in order to overcome challenges and identify opportunities
  • Confident in using a mix of modern sales tools, methods, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in English is essential

Preferences

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred
  • Previous experience in the IT or software industry is an advantage
  • Additional language skills, such as German, are considered a strong advantage
