We are looking for a Business Development Manager for our Budapest office to make our team even stronger.
Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for shaping and winning platform and institutional opportunities and leading capture and proposal activities from early strategy to submission. You will shape REMRED’s most important deals and partnerships, work directly with senior internal and external stakeholders on an international level, and have real influence on the company’s position in the European space value chain.
Pre-Sales Engineer (Business Development Manager)

Key responsibilities


  • Identify, shape, and pursue strategic platform and institutional opportunities within the international space sector.
  • Proactive approach to identifying new business leads, and engaging with potential partners.
  • Conduct market research activities and market analysis.
  • Own capture activities for priority pursuits, including opportunity shaping, partner strategy, and bid/no-bid preparation.
  • Lead and coordinate proposal and business case development, ensuring alignment with REMRED’s platform strategy, capabilities, and growth roadmap.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with institutional stakeholders, prime contractors, and strategic partners.
  • Represent REMRED at high-level industry events and strategic forums.
  • Work closely with engineering, program management, quality, and leadership to ensure proposals are realistic, competitive, and executable.
  • Contribute to improving BD governance, prioritisation, and forecasting discipline across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, International Relations, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in Pre-Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technology Sales, Business Development or capture roles in complex, technology-driven environments.
  • Strong experience with proposal-led, long-cycle opportunities (tenders, procurement, partner ecosystems).
  • Excellent presentation, communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to bridge the gap between development and potential partners
  • Ability to operate independently and lead cross-functional pursuit teams.
  • Availability for international travel (2 times / month) and conference participation
  • Excellent written and spoken English.

Considered a Plus

  • Experience in space/aerospace or other regulated, high-tech industries; exposure to tender/proposal-driven environments and international partner ecosystem
