Introduction

Asura Technologies Ltd., founded in 2017 and headquartered in Budapest, designs, develops, and deploys AI-based parking, traffic monitoring, and security systems worldwide. Our solutions are powered by proprietary video analytics and license plate recognition software. We operate globally, with strong market presence in the United States and active projects across Europe and Asia through our strategic partners. Working with us means shaping how cutting-edge computer vision technology is used in the real world. Over the past 8 years, our core team has grown to 180+ people in Budapest, with an additional 50 colleagues at our U.S. site.

About the Role

We are looking for a Product Specialist who sits at the intersection of business and technology. You will work side‑by‑side with our Product Manager and Development Team to turn customer needs into well‑defined product requirements, validate that what we build actually solves those needs, and act as a trusted bridge between our U.S. clients and our engineering organization in Budapest. This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys understanding how software works, talking to customers, writing specifications, and getting hands‑on with tools (SQL, APIs, Jira, log files, configuration) to move products forward.

Tasks

Product & Requirements Work

  • Partner with the Product Manager and Development Team to scope, refine, and prioritize features across Asura's parking, traffic, and security products.
  • Translate customer feedback, business needs, and operational pain points into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
  • Participate in the creation of the backlog items in Jira; ensure tickets are ready before sprint planning (clear scope, dependencies identified, mockups or examples attached where helpful).

Testing & Quality Assurance Support

  • Run functional and exploratory testing of new features before release; verify that delivered work matches the agreed acceptance criteria
  • Reproduce, document, and triage client‑reported issues; work with developers to clarify root cause and validate fixes.
  • Support release readiness: smoke tests, release notes, and verification of deployments in staging and production environments.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the daily point of contact for our U.S. parking clients on product questions, configuration, and operational requests — mostly in writing, occasionally on calls.
  • Translate technical answers from the development team into clear, business‑friendly language for clients, and translate client needs back into actionable input for engineering.
  • Prepare reports, status updates, and product‑related documentation for both client and internal audiences.
  • Plan and run training sessions for clients and internal teams on new features and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with our Hungarian and U.S. teams to keep operations running smoothly across time zones.

Requirements


  • Confident command of English, both written and spoken — you will work daily with U.S. clients and an international engineering team.
  • 2+ years of experience in a product, business analyst, technical support, QA, implementation, or similar role in a software / SaaS / tech‑product company.
  • Strong writing skills — able to produce clear user stories, specifications, test cases, and documentation that both developers and clients can rely on.
  • Structured, precise, and independent work style; strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Analytical mindset: comfortable working with data, spotting patterns, and using evidence to support product decisions.

Preferences

  • Background in IT, engineering, business informatics, economics, or a related field.
  • Hands‑on experience with Jira / Confluence (or equivalent tools) in a product or engineering setting.
  • Previous experience working with international clients, ideally in the U.S. market.
  • Experience writing or reviewing integration documentation, or product manuals.
  • Comfortable getting hands‑on with technical tools: writing SQL queries, reading API documentation, testing endpoints in Postman, navigating log files, and editing configuration files (JSON / YAML / INI).
  • Long‑term commitment and interest in growing into a Product Owner / Product Manager track.
