Introduction
We are looking for an experienced SAP Technical Lead - ABAP to support end-to-end execution of SAP projects and enhancements. The consultant will be responsible for leading SAP technical activities, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery of all technical objects and integrations.The role requires strong SAP ABAP expertise along with experience working closely with functional teams, Basis, Security, Integration, Testing, and PMO teams across project lifecycle phases including design, development, testing, deployment, and cutover.
Tasks
SAP Technical Delivery- Lead end-to-end SAP technical delivery for implementation, enhancement, support, and rollout projects.
- Participate in requirement gathering and solution design discussions with business and functional teams.
- Convert functional requirements into technical solutions and technical specifications.
- Ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices.
- Lead development and delivery of SAP RICEF objects: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms.
- Review technical designs and code quality.
- Ensure timely completion of all technical deliverables
- Work closely with SAP functional consultants across SD, MM, FI, and PP modules.
- Coordinate with SAP Basis team for transports and environment readiness.
- Coordinate with SAP Security team for role and authorization requirements.
- Work with Integration teams for interface development and connectivity.
- Coordinate with Testing teams for SIT/UAT support and defect resolution.
- Work with PMO/project managers for project tracking and status updates.
- Support and coordinate SAP integrations with external systems.
- Work on interfaces using IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, APIs, file-based integrations, and middleware platforms.
- Troubleshoot technical and integration issues during testing and deployment phases.
- Support testing activities and defect resolution.
- Participate in deployment planning and transport management.
- Support cutover activities and go-live readiness.
- Provide post-go-live technical support as needed.
Requirements
Technical Skills- Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Expertise in Classical and OO ABAP.
- Reports and ALV development.
- SmartForms / Adobe Forms / SAP Scripts.
- Enhancements, User Exits, BADIs.
- IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs.
- Interfaces and integrations.
- Debugging and performance tuning.
- Good understanding of SAP processes in SD, MM, FI, and PP.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage timelines and deliverables effectively.
