DIGIC Pictures, a world-renowned animation studio creating high-impact trailers and cinematics for games, films, and commercials, is looking for a Senior Animator to join our creative team on a Netflix series based on the world of Magic: The Gathering.
Our team is currently working on several high-profile projects, including the animated film series based on the world-famous card game Magic: The Gathering for Netflix.
This is a keyframe animation role with a focus on delivering nuanced character driven performances and dynamic choreographed stylised set pieces.
Candidates should be comfortable with owning a character performance across a sequence and utilizing a variety of techniques to push and develop both the character and animation style while ensuring performances remain grounded, believable, and true to character.
Location: Full-time | Remote freelance within ±2h of Budapest (CET)

Senior Keyframe Animator
Responsibilities
What you'll do:- Execute assigned animation or technical tasks with precision and
- on timeSolve problems independently and present creative/technical solutions
- Understand and follow the production pipeline from input to output
- Actively communicate any questions or blockers using our internal production tool and directly with leads
- Mentor junior colleagues and provide them with professional guidance
- Test new tools and workflows, and suggest improvements
- Participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions, presentations, and training
- Collaborate with other departments to help ensure successful project delivery
Essential Skills
Professional qualifications:
- Minimum 5–6 years of production experience
- Deep understanding of animation principles
- Confident use of Maya or other professional animation software
- Confident use of RV for animation review
- Strong artistic skills in character animation
- Solid knowledge of film pipelines and asset production workflows
- Intermediate or higher English proficiency
- Independent, efficient work style
- Precision, reliability, and commitment to deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Willingness to mentor and support others
- Proactive attitude and a continuous drive to improve
- Creativity and strong attention to detail
Desirable Skills
