This position sits at the intersection of innovation strategy, technical program management, and cross-functional leadership. You will ensure that complex, research-heavy initiatives move efficiently from concept through prototyping to production.
Tasks:
Project & Program Leadership
- Own end-to-end delivery of R&D initiatives, from early-stage concept through validation and deployment
- Define technical milestones, timelines, and measurable outcomes across complex research workflows
- Drive execution in an environment with high ambiguity and evolving priorities
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Technical Oversight
- Coordinate work across multidisciplinary teams (ML/DL, computer vision, imaging, 3D, UX, external partners)
- Maintain sufficient technical depth to assess risks, dependencies, and trade-offs
- Ensure alignment between engineering, research, and leadership stakeholders
Innovation Strategy & Delivery
- Contribute to IP and innovation strategy alongside founders and technical leads
- Translate cutting-edge research into scalable, real-world applications
- Remove blockers and optimize processes to accelerate innovation cycles
Requirements
Education & Experience
- MSc or PhD in a relevant field (engineering, physics, imaging science, ML/DL, or similar), or equivalent experience
- 10+ years managing complex, multidisciplinary R&D or product development programs
- Background in areas such as computational imaging, computer vision, 3D visualization, medical imaging, or ML/DL is strongly preferred

- Strong program and project management capabilities in research-driven environments
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and drive structured execution
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven leadership experience managing diverse expert teams
- Strong problem-solving mindset, with high ownership and resilience
Nice to Have
- Experience in startup or innovation lab environments
- Exposure to imaging systems, computational photography, or advanced visualization pipelines
- Track record of delivering novel, first-of-their-kind products
